Acenzo Planning & Architecture

Acenzo is an architecture and planning firm based in New Delhi. We design hospitals, medical colleges, universities and institutional campuses. Buildings where the plan has to work before anything else does.

Expertise

Hospitals and universities are buildings people depend on completely. A patient navigating a new ward, a student finding their way across a campus on the first day, a nurse finishing a night shift. These buildings have to work quietly and reliably, for everyone, every day. We built the firm around getting that right.

The Work

Our first commission came in 2020: the MM College of Medical Sciences and Research in Ambala, a 34-acre campus with over ten lakh square feet of built area. It opened its doors in 2023. Since then the firm has planned close to five million square feet across India and Nepal.

The Portfolio

Our portfolio includes the JECRC medical college hospital in Jaipur at one million square feet and 1,500 beds, new hospital buildings for Max Healthcare in Vaishali and Dehradun, Sanskaram University in Jhajjar, the masterplan of Rama University in Greater Noida, and Norvic International Hospital in Kathmandu, among others.
Most of our clients are doctors, hospital operators and university promoters. They read our drawings the way we read their briefs. Almost every client has come back with a second project, and that is the only marketing metric we care about.

How We Design

Every project starts with the brief, not the facade. In a hospital that means department adjacencies, patient movement, staff movement, services and future expansion. For a campus, the masterplan comes first. We think about how the place will grow over ten or twenty years, so that a new building added in year fifteen does not undo what was planned in year one. The architecture that follows tends to be clear and grounded, because we have found that buildings people actually enjoy using are rarely the ones trying hardest to impress.
Concepts start as hand sketches, move into Revit, get tested through environmental simulation, and reach the client in VR before the first drawing is issued. Mistakes are cheaper on screen than on site.

Who We Work With

Hospital promoters, healthcare groups, medical trusts and universities, on projects ranging from a 100-bed hospital to a full institutional campus. If the project is a place of healing or learning, it is our kind of work. If it is not, we say so in the first meeting.

The Firm

Acenzo was founded in New Delhi and works globally. The firm is organised in dedicated project teams, each anchored to a project from the first brief to the last drawing. Clients work with the same team throughout.
